No Dought About It – Aidan returns to Streatham!

The Streatham Redhawks are excited to announce that Aidan Doughty is returning for the upcoming season!

Doughty first played for Streatham back in 2017/18 before spending a number of years playing between the Bees and Basingstoke Bison before a return to Streatham last season. In his comeback year with the Redhawks, Doughty had a standout 2024/25 campaign with 20 goals and 21 assists in 33 games, proving once again why he's such an important part of the team. His physical game and tireless work rate made him a constant threat on the ice and a favourite among Redhawks fans.

Fans can look forward to seeing Aidan back in action when the season begins this September.

Doughty had the following to say on his return to SW16:

“I am pleased to be back in Streatham for another season. I enjoyed being back at the club and hope we can hit the ground running in September.”

Coach Paynter also commented:

“Doughts is one of those core guys you need to have in your squad every year, he goes about his business quietly but is consistent every week, he battles, works hard and does all the little bits that go unnoticed. He is a good team mate on and off the ice and I’m pleased he has decided to stay in Streatham for another campaign.”
