Brittle Back on the High Road!
Streatham IHC are thrilled to confirm the return of Luke Brittle back to SW16!
A fan favourite and proven offensive force, Brittle returns for what will be his 3rd full season with the club. His impact last season was nothing short of exceptional, tallying 29 goals and 32 assists, making him one of the team’s top scorers.
Luke first joined Streatham in the 2018/19 season and made a memorable return mid-season in 2023 after a three-year break from competitive hockey. His seamless reintegration into the squad and consistent high-level performances have cemented his place as a key part of the RedHawks lineup.
Brittle brings a blend of experience, leadership, and elite scoring ability — all of which will be vital as Streatham look to build on past successes and bring back the silver wear!
Brittle had the following to say:
“I’m really excited to return to the High Road for my 3rd (full) year with the RedHawks! There’s a real togetherness within the club at Streatham, from the boys in the room to the management & fans, so when Paynts asked me to sign for next year, there really wasn’t much that needed to be said. Collectively we left a lot out there last year and I know how hungry we all are to get back to winning ways. With the strength of the squad Paynts has/is putting together, I’m confident we’ll be bringing home trophies again! See you all in September 🦅”.
Coach Ben Paynter added:
“Brits brings bags and bags of skill to our line-up. He is deadly around the net, has the ability to make great plays offensively and adds a calm and composed nature to our power play. He is passionate and wants to win which is vital if we want to be successful this year. He is a quality character around the room and really lightens the mood when it’s needed”.
