Roman Cathcart Rejoins Streatham for Year Two!
Roman Cathcart is sticking around for another season with the Streatham RedHawks, and we’re excited to have him back!

Roman made an instant impression after joining from the Slough Jets last season at just 18 years old, recording an impressive 12 goals and 20 assists in 36 games. His standout performance showcased a level of maturity well beyond his years.
Cathcart also added national league experience with the Berkshire Bees as well as representing England at the U19 level. The speedy forward is one of the most exciting young players in the division and we are thrilled to have secured his signature for the coming season.
All of this has also led Roman, who is a product of the Basingstoke Junior system to securing a Two-Way contract with the Basingstoke Bison in the National League for the coming season, Roman will ice for the Redhawks and have the chance to train on a weekly basis as well as play games with the Bison when available.
Roman had the following to say on his return to the club:
“Really excited to be back at the high road this year, last year was an absolute blast and I can’t wait to do it all again and hopefully snag some silverware this time round”.
Coach Ben Paynter also commented:
“Roman is a really exciting young player, he is as fast as they come at this level, throws the body around well and gets stuck in. He moves the puck well, has a good shot and can play all forward positions. He plays with a maturity above his years and I’m excited to see how he develops further bringing all of his attributes together this coming season.”
