James Warman signs on for his 11th year with the club!
Streatham IHC are thrilled to announce that defenceman James Warman has re-signed with the Redhawks for the 2025/26 season!

This marks an incredible milestone as Warman enters his 11th full season with the club – a testament to his loyalty, consistency, and connection to both the team and the South London community.
Warman first hit the ice for Streatham back in the 2013/14 season, and from day one, he’s been a rock on the blue line. Known for his big hits, smart positioning, and no-nonsense defensive style, he’s become one of the team’s most dependable and respected players.
With one of the longest tenures in recent Redhawks history, Warman’s return reflects the strong bond between player and club – built on years of hard work, trust, and shared success.
Warman had the following to say:
“It’s great to be back again at Streatham for another season! Streatham is a special club to play for with a real togetherness between the boys, management and the fans and I am really happy to continue my journey with the club.
It was disappointing to fall just short of winning another trophy last season, but I know that will give us all extra motivation to deliver in the upcoming season! With the team Paynts is putting together, I expect us to be challenging for every trophy on offer again next season!
Hope everyone is having a good summer and see you in September”!
Coach Ben Paynter added:
“Warms brings physicality and reliability. He plays the body hard, is in great shape and brings a consistency every week. He has been a member of this club for a long time, and I’m pleased he has decided to return for another year. He is a great guy and fits in well with the group and I can’t wait to celebrate his testimonial with him at the end of this season”!
