Fan Favourite Antonov signs up for the 2025/26 season
Streatham IHC are excited to announce the return of Vanya Antonov!
Antonov first joined the club back in 2019 where he fast became a firm fan favourite with his remarkable on ice performance, speed and skill! Staying on for 4 seasons he amassed an impressive 246 points across just 90 cup and league appearances after which he opted to move back up to the national league and join the TSI World Berkshire Bees back in 2022, followed by a move on to the Swindon Wildcats during the 2024/25 season.
On his return to Streatham Antonov had the following to say:
“It's a pleasure to sign back with the Streatham RedHawks. I remember the club’s great structure and atmosphere, so it was an easy decision. With Ben Paynter as coach, I am confident and excited for the next season- hopefully we can bring some more silverware back to High Road.”
Coach Ben Paynter commented:
"Being able to bring a player of Vanya’s calibre back to the club is a massive boost for us. He has a proven track record in this league as well as the league above and his stats tell their own story. He brings a fantastic work rate and not only holds himself to high standards but also his teammates around him. He will add pretty of fire power but can also play in all situations and I can’t wait to see how he slots back into our group after some time away."
