The Captain returns to the High Road for the 2025/26 season!

A formidable presence on the High Road since first joining under Jeremy Cornish in 2017, Watt has been an offensive cornerstone since his 2019 return following a brief stint with Bracknell in 2018. The Scotsman brings unparalleled experience at this level, having begun his remarkable senior career over 20 years ago at just 15 years old with his hometown Basingstoke Buffalo, while also making five appearances for the Elite League's Basingstoke Bison that same season.
As captain, he has led Streatham to numerous championships, and during the 2024/25 season reached his 600th career point!
On his return to SW16, Watt had the following to say:
“First trophyless season in a few years for us at Streatham
As close as we were, missing out on the league by one point, the cup semi in OT and a playoff final loss is going to make me and the rest of the core returning even more hungry to get back on top next season and get our trophy's back on the high road.”
Coach Ben Paynter also had the following to add:
"Watty brings skill, experience and toughness to our line-up. He has shown his offensive upside over his time in Streatham and always pops up with big goals or plays in big moments. It’s important for me to have people around me that I can trust and have the same goals as myself, Watty is one of those people that I know is pulling on the same rope with a team first mentality".
