Welcome back, Brett!
Streatham Ice Hockey Club is delighted to announce that goaltender Brett Shepherd will be returning for the 2025/26 season.

A product of Streatham’s junior program, Shepherd began his senior career with the Slough Jets and later played for the Berkshire Bees. He rejoined the Redhawks early last season and made an immediate impact, stepping up when starting netminder Danny Milton was unavailable due to injury.
During the 2024/25 NIHL 1 season, Shepherd appeared in 15 regular-season games, recording a 1.53 GAA and a .938 save percentage, along with four shutouts.
Shepherd’s journey has seen him develop through the ranks, and his commitment to the Redhawks is unwavering. Following an outstanding performance last year, Brett is set to form a strong goaltending partnership with Danny Milton next season.
On his return to the club Shepherd had the following to say:
" can't wait to get back on the High Road next season, I enjoyed playing on my return and have built a good partnership with Milts. Last season has only left me more motivated than ever to bring trophies back to south London and I’m looking forward to being a part of that. See you all in September!”
Coach Ben Paynter commented:
“Brett joined us in the middle of last year when Milts got injured and immediately showed the calibre of goalie that he is. He fitted straight into our group and made his mark with some brilliant performances. He is always wanting to be better and compete and with a tandem of Brett and Milts in the net we have a chance to win every night!”
