Streatham IHC Welcome Back Dylan Dix!
The Streatham RedHawks are pleased to welcome back American defenceman Dylan Dix for the 26/27 season.

Debuting in 2024 for the Chelmsford Chieftains, the big Californian Offensive D-Man rose to notoriety in NIHL 1 with his punishing style of play, goal scoring ability and being involved in a heavy weight rivalry with Sloughs Brandon Miles, while pitching 7 goals and 22 assists for 29 points. All of this caught the attention of coach Paynter who signed him up last season.
Dylan became a hit with fans literally in his first season on the High Road as the hard-hitting Californian D-Man delivered punishing body checks all over the ice and stood up for teammates when needed. While also becoming a hit on the club’s socials when advertising the Heated Rivalry series.
At 6’2” Dylan will use all of his size to play a very physical game of defensive hockey, clearing the net front and forcing carriers to the boards, and delivering bone crunching hits. While also contributing to the transition and offensive side of things, while being more than capable of scoring goals on up ice rushes and pinches from the blue line. Returning 5 goals and 18 assists for 23 points.
On securing the import D-Man coach Paynter had this to say
“Bringing Dixy back was a massive priority when building the team for next year, he was a huge boost for us last year and really buys in to the ‘Streatham way. He is physical, moves the puck well and has a great shot. He comes to complete every night, and I can play him in all situations. His teammates love him and he fit straight in with our group as soon as he arrived with his passion to win and all-round good guy mentality. He got better and better as the season went on last term and I can’t wait to see what he can bring this coming season now he has a full season as a Redhawk under his belt.”
Having secured his first championships in UK Hockey with the club after winning the Challenge cup, south 1 and National Play offs Dix is looking forward to more of the same in 2026/27 and he had this to say to the fans
“I am really excited to be back for another season. A big part of my decision to move to Streatham was the opportunity to compete for trophies and contribute to a winning culture, so I’m proud of what we achieved together last season and excited for what’s ahead. I can’t wait to be back on the High Road in front of our amazing fan base. Your support throughout the season meant a lot to the team and created such a great atmosphere every night. Hope everyone has a great summer, and I’ll see you at the rink in September!”
