Another Lane Opens up for Streatham!
The Streatham RedHawks are pleased to announce the return of Jared Lane for the 26/27 season.
The 28-year-old 5 10 forward and product of the Guildford junior system, made his step up to senior hockey in 2015 with the Guildford Flames, and has spent most of his career prior to joining the RedHawks with the Flames and Phoenix in Guildford, with a short stint in Bracknell with the Bees. Before landing here on the High Road in 2022, after a very impressive season in Guildford where he netted 25 goals and 44 assists for 69 points.
Jared is excited to be back on the High Road for the new season.

Very much an energy player on the ice and in the room his return to the roster in 2023 served as a boost to a campaign that had struggled in the early stages, and lead to another league title win. Lane provides Streatham with a speedy, skilled goal scorer and creator. Able to zip up the wings on the puck and cut inside before a defenceman knows what has happened and light the lamp (something Streatham fans have seen him do plenty in his 4 seasons) or make the key pass that creates a goal, while also being able to place himself in the best spots around the net to be a constant threat. With Jared netting 12 goals and 25 assists in regular season and play-off games for a total of 37 last year. With his record for Streatham standing at 44 Goals and 97 assists overall for 141 points.
Coach Paynter is pleased to have a scoring threat like Lane on board.
“Jared is one of those players that just goes about his business quietly but when he is out of the line-up you really miss him. He is a smooth skater, sneakily quick and has great vision. He has created lot of offence for us over the years, can play in all situations and is reliable defensively, he is a quiet character but is a big part of our group. Once again, I will be relying on him to great plenty of offence and add that scoring touch, he has shown he has.”
