Great to Have Gregory Back

The Streatham RedHawks are pleased to welcome Back Jordan Gregory for the 26/27 season

The 6’ 2”, 30-year-old defenceman, a product of the Bracknell Junior system, signs on for his 9th season on the high road. Having joined under Jeremy Cornish in 2017, before then Jordan had played 2 seasons on the island with head coach Ben Paynter, and several seasons with the Bracknell Hornets and Bees along with the Oxford City Stars.

Jordan is looking forward to being part of what Coach Paynter is building for the new season.

I’m glad to be back at the high road this year. Last year was a good season for the RedHawks. speaking to Paynts this offseason the teams he is putting together for this coming season will be looking to exceed last year’s achievements and who wouldn’t want to be a part of that.

I’m Looking forward to seeing you all down the high road in September for the start of another hopefully successful season

Jordan is a big physical defenceman and uses all of his 6’ 2” frame to play the game that way. Not afraid to put the body in and battle players to the outside to cover off the net. Jordan is also not afraid to drop the gloves to stick up for himself or others. A core team element, Jordan is the kind of work horse defenceman who does the basics well. That coaches all want in the engine room of their defence. Jordan is a solid play maker from the back end, having accumulated 52 assists in his time as a Redhawk, along with 8 goals across 194 appearances in the regular season and play offs.

Coach Paynter is looking forward to Gregory building on a very good year last season.

Jordan is a player who doesn’t steal headlines, doesn’t score loads of goals but does just do his job and do it well, he is hard to play against, blocks shots and puts defence first, last year saw him have a pretty good year offensively and I’m looking for more of the same this coming year.

Jordan’s jerseys will be available to own and loan, if interested please email ownloanshirts@yahoo.com. Each jersey is priced at £125 and will be presented to the sponsor at the end of the season. Jerseys will be available on a first come first served basis.
