Warman returns for 10th Season

Streatham IHC are delighted to announce that our current longest serving player, James Warman, is returning for his 10th Season on the High Road. 

Warman first joined the club back in the 2013/14 season when the club served under its former name, the Streatham Redskins. He opted to switch to Bristol for a season in 2014 but soon returned in 2015 where the Telford Junior has remained ever since.  His hard hitting, no nonsense, reliable play has been a big hit with his former coaches across the last 10 seasons, which is evident by the length of tenure with the club.

Coach Paynter commented, 

‘Securing someone like Warms going into the new season is key to building a solid & competitive side. He has been one of our most consistent defence men over the last few season and turns up ready to play every week. He is a huge part of the success we have had over the last few years and in my eyes is hugely overlooked for being one of the best defensemen in the league. His physical play fits in with how we want to play and he makes it hard for opposing teams every week. It’s a pleasure to be able to bring warms back.’ 

Warman commented, 

‘It was an easy decision to return to Streatham again next year. It’s been great to have been part of a team that has enjoyed so much success over the last few years and you can see how much everyone enjoys playing together.

I am sure that will be the case again next year and we will have another strong team competing on all fronts once again. The goal for us has to be pushing the high standards we have already set ourselves so that we can try and go one better and clinch the national championship that has eluded us the past couple of years.
