Henry is Aiken to be back on the High Road

Streatham IHC are happy to announce that Henry Aiken will be returning for the 2024/25 season.

The 28-year-old left-handed defenceman joined us from rival Invicta Dynamos at the start of the 2022-23 season where he showed immediately his hard working, team first mentality which has led him to be a favourite on the High Road. Henry was unavailable to ice as much as we would have liked last season, but he is back in the line-up this coming season and we can’t wait to see him back on the High Road. 

Coach Ben Paynter Commented the following, 

“In my opinion, to be successful you have to have guys like Henry in your line up, he is one of the most team first guys I’ve had the pleasure of playing alongside. Whether it be on the ice, with his relentless work ethic and the willingness to put his body on the line. Or if its off the ice in the locker room and around the rink keeping the mood light, creating a great environment to be in and making coming to the rink every week a pleasure, he is a great teammate. He continually works on his game and wants to improve and I’m over the moon he has decided to return for another year and I’m sure his teammates are equally as pleased.” 

Henry commented,   

“So buzzing to get this season rolling. To be back with the boys, the club and fans means the world. So, when Paynts asked it was a no brainer, I love being a Redhawk and can’t wait to get this season underway as one again!”
