Brittle in for the opening weekend.

Streatham IHC are delighted to announce that Luke Brittle has returned to the Redhawks for the 2023/24 season.

Luke last featured for the Redhawks at the tail end of the covid cancelled season where he was a deadline addition by Coach Carr. In his last stint with the Redhawks, Brittle produced 18 points in only 7 games before a premature end to the season. The forward has been training with the team in recent weeks after some time away from the ice and has decided to commit to the coming season.

Luke commented, 

‘The last time I played league hockey was in Streatham pre-covid, we had a great season but didn’t get to bring the trophy home. 

Having moved back to London I had no expectations to get back into the game, but Paynts & all the boys have been so welcoming & it just feels right. There’s still some rust to shake off, but I’m confident I can help the group continue the winning habits they’ve established over the years. Cant wait to get going!’

Coach Paynter commented,

‘To be able to add someone with Luke’s experience and skill to the line up the day before the season starts is great. Although he hasn’t been on the ice loads in the last few years he has shown in practice that when you have the natural skill Luke has it doesn’t take long to get back into it. He has plenty of experience at this level and is a great guy to have around the locker room. His point production was good last time he played in Streatham and I can’t wait to see what he can do in a full season on the High Road.’
