Antonov on board for 2022/23
Vanny confirmed for next season
In news that will delight Streatham fans we are pleased to confirm the return of league top scorer Vanya Antonov.
Since joining the club in 2019, Vanny has made 65 appearances, scoring 73 goals and making 102 assists, taking 38 penalty minutes along the way. Not only is Vanya a star on the ice he's also a popular figure off it and a pleasure to have around the rink. Appreciated by both team mates and fans alike, the 24 year old is happy on the High Road.
"I'm really excited to have re-signed back with such a great organisation" he said.
"Having spoken to Ben and understood his vision for the team, I knew that I wanted to be a part of it, so it was an easy decision to come back. The atmosphere around the club is electric and we want to keep this run of winning trophies going as long as we can!"
Current Captain Ben Paynter, who will take over from current Player Coach Michael Farn at the end of this season, is in no doubt how important his first announced signing is.
"I was delighted to be able to get Vanny back for the coming season" explained Paynts.
"There is no doubt that he is the most talented player in this league but on top of his playing upside, he brings a professional attitude every week. Vanny is a great character in the room and also raises the game of his team mates around him."
