A High Road favourite Returns

As announced at our end of season awards evening, Streatham IHC are delighted to announce the return of last seasons top points scorer, Ziggy Beesley. 

Ziggys return to the club, sees the 2023/24 supporters player of the year and players player return for his 7th season on the High Road. The former bracknell junior had his most productive season last term with 27 goals and 39 assists across all competitions leading the scoring race for the Redhawks on their way to 4 trophies.

Ziggy had the following to say, 

“I’m delighted to be able to come back to streatham for my 7th year, it’s such a brilliant place to play hockey with such caring owners and supportive fans. I’m looking to build on last year and continue the recent successes we’ve had over the last few seasons. See you all in September!”

Coach Paynter commented,

“Ziggy is a player that does it all, he can shut down other teams top lines, works hard in the ugly areas, blocks shots and is a great team mate. He is constantly working on his game and last season he really showed the offensive side of his game. He scored big goals for us in key moment and winning the players player award as well as supporters player award last season really shows you a lot about his character in the dressing room and performances on the ice. To be successful you have to have guys like Ziggy in the line up and I’m over the moon to have him back for the 2024/25 season.”
