Vanya returns

The 22 year old was a big hit with team mates and supporters alike last year with his match winning displays and skills. 

Despite missing the last month of the campaign he still led the league scoring up until the final fortnight and was often described as “being worth the entrance fee alone” by some fans thanks to his skills.

“It was an easy decision to sign back with Streatham for another year” admitted the former GB junior international. 

“The club's welcoming atmosphere was a pleasure to experience last year. There are some amazing characters in the room and it was fun at every step of the way to winning the league title. We had a great team and would have achieved some great feats if unfortunately the season wasn't cut short. 

“It is disappointing to see a coach and player of Adam Carr's calibre retiring, and I wish him all the best, but I couldn't think of a better person to carry on the torch than Micheal Farn. 

“I'm excited for the next season and hopefully we can bring some more silverware back to High Road.”

Antonov’s signing is the first of new Player Coach Michael Farn’s tenure and sets the puck sliding for our eventual return to the ice. 

“I’m delighted to have Vanya coming back for the upcoming season” said Farn. 

“He’s undoubtedly the best player in the league and we are privileged to have a player of his quality on our roster. 

“I know Vanny really enjoyed his hockey here last year under Carsy, so it was easy conversation when I spoke to him about returning. 

“I’m sure this signing will get all the Streatham faithful excited and will be eager to see Vanny pull on the RedHawks` jersey again.”
