Gregory returns between the pipes

The 22 year old will ice at the High Road for a fourth season after playing his part in our league and cup double last year. The Woking born stopper shared duties with Damien King last year between the pipes and impressed in his performances, ending top of the standings in the netminder stats.

“When Farny contacted me asking how I felt about returning I knew it was a no brainer” said Gregory on his return. 

“He’s put together a great room of guys with a couple of great new faces, I’ve never been so motivated to get back at it with the long break and having both titles to defend.”

Gregory learnt his trade in Bracknell with the junior teams there, before a spell in Canada in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League. He returned to the UK and joined Wightlink Raiders in 2016, before eventually being signed in South London by then Coach Jeremy Cornish in 2017/18.

Gregory adds to a roster that already includes Damien King, Scott Bailey, Jordan Gregory, Ziggy Beesley, James Warman, Vanya Antonov, Adam Wood, Andrew Cook, Ryan Watt and Ben Paynter plus Player Coach Michael Farn.

Farn himself is pleased to complete his goaltending set up ahead of the new season.

“Nate and I had some really good lengthy discussions in the summer and glad we got the outcome we both wanted. 

“Nate has proven that he is more than capable to back stop a team at this level and I want him to grasp the opportunities that he gets. 

“Nate is determined to put the work in that he needs to in order to push Damo (Damien King) right through the season. He’s a great lad and I'm looking forward to working with him this upcoming season.”
