Brandon back for more

Streatham IHC are delighted to welcome back Brandon Miles to the High Road for another season.

The 23 year old winger enjoyed a personal best points year last campaign with 21 goals and 24 assists, plus 234 penalty minutes. A lively season by anyone’s standards, and one that saw him win Player’s Player of the Year at our end of season awards.

Miles came up through the junior ranks at Slough and first arrived in Streatham in 2014/15 under the tenure of Warren Rost where he impressed with his raw energy and hard-nosed style of hockey.

Spells at Bracknell, Invicta and the Raiders followed and now he enters his second consecutive season in SW16 with a league and cup winners medal in the bag.

“I couldn’t be happier to be back for the upcoming season” said Miles, who played on our top line last year.

“I have unfinished business from last season and after proving I can play in all aspects of the game, I can’t wait to skate back out on the High Road again. With the team we’ve got we are going to be stronger than ever.”

Miles adds to a roster that already includes Damien King, Jordan Gregory, Vanya Antonov, James Warman, Adam Wood, Ryan Watt, Conner Smith and Ben Paynter plus Player Coach Michael Farn.

Farn himself is pleased to have the tough scorer suiting up again in red and white:

“Milesy is one of the league's all round best players. He brings speed, skill, goals and physicality.

“The way he plays creates space for himself and others on the ice with him, and he always puts the team first. It’s no surprise he got the players player award last season and just goes to show the respect every player in the room has for him.

“I expect the more confidence he gains the more productivity we will see from him. I know the High Road faithful will be delighted to see him back.
